International Workers' Day


We all are very familiar with the celebration of the International Workers' Day (a name used interchangeably with May Day). May 1 is a national holiday celebrated worldwide. It is synonymous with International Workers' Day, or Labour Day, a day of political demonstrations and celebrations organized by the unions, anarchist, and socialist groups. May Day is also a traditional holiday in many cultures. The day is commonly celebrated for the social and economic achievements of the international labor movement. In India, the Labour Kisan Party of Hindustan celebrated May Day for the first time in the state of Madras on May 1, 1923.
