Destination : Aamtola

It was a rainy day and the surroundings were soggy all around, we decided to go on a ride to some adventurous place and explore something new for everybody, with our Bajaj Discover 135 DTS-i. As the rain stopped, we started our trip to a hilly site known as Aamtola, a place about 6-7 kms away from the Abhayapuri town, Bongaigaon Dist. In such a mild weather, we passed through the stunning green fields, where the farmers were gazing their ploughs and finally after going a long distance, we found a modest stream flowing from the top of the hill to the plains. And there, while approaching towards the hill, we saw a temple of Lord Shiva, beside the roadside. It was a magnificent shrine, built by the inhabitants of Aamtola. After visiting it, we move further to the steep path of the hilly mountain. The entire scenario was so charming that it makes me remember the wet and beautiful land, Meghalaya. Then we visited the picnic spot, where in the months of Dec-April the place is crowded with lots of visitors. So we came back from but with the spirit to visit there again and again..so its now your turn for the visit.
